Classrooms were shuffled and students were given a working room assignment for the next 6 weeks. Rooms were arranged by similar topics or related issue- Environments, Ecology, Life Sciences and Technology.
Students met with drop in mentors to share/discuss and bounce around ideas about their topics.
Students worked on activities to share their discoveries and learnings thus far with each other. They were then able to make connections to each others topics and find ways in which they will be able to collaborate.
Teachers facilitated mini lessons on email etiquette and bibliographies
Students continued on with the finding out of their topics as it pertained to their key concept questions. Some worked independently and others worked with people to share info on similar projects.
